Today’s challenges for GFC are to link/unite the growers/buyers and sales organizations by providing the latest technological tools taking into account the growers’ and buyers’ needs. All members of the network use only “1 tool” to do all of their business and to exchange the necessary information, Kosmos aucxis new cloud base multi trade platform.
Our customers, the retail chains and importers, distributors, want to offer to their customers a diversifed and inspired range of fresh fruits and vegetables. They prefer to buy these products directly from one source. This customer group knows his product’s needs and looks for the right partner / vendor at the right price.
Our online network and trading tools are able to offer sufficient steady flow of fresh products for the buyers day in day out, sourced directly from the International fields.
All products are able to “switch” from one sale’s method to another, while the system monitors the overall process and the sales of each lot.
Our commercial team is happy to provide more information.
All Auctions are available to organize an auction with different market clocks. This innovative solution enables buyers to buy on the clocks from a standard p.c, a tablet or a portable smartphone. They can also retrieve general statistics or personal reports while on the move.
Functionality of GFC circuit:
All linked with one cloud base bid database which communicates with all the individual distribution / storage centers of the network, from our national & International suppliers.
1 central server system communicates with all the regionally depots involved in selling the products. In each depot, supplied products are registered with their product characteristics (farmer/supplier x, country/origin y, Quality & product type, packing details, certificates…) and the right storage location with the dates of receipt is indicated. These data are centrally stored. Our selling parties , existing group of growers & collectivities spread in Greece and India, enter the supply they want to sell on the clock system via web pages after logging in successfully. Our system provides the possibility to build up a catalogue with various lots from different suppliers/geographical areas, with product marks, product type, quality, packaging, product dimensions etc., in 1 “block” and to sell them via the clock.
In this way, you will get a certain stock, which can be sold afterwards to the “registered buyers”. There are various sales tools:
o Real-time clock auction system: selling lot per lot to the highest bidder. Internet buyers and auction room buyers are bidding on each lot; the bidder who stops the clock the first, is bidding the highest price. The clock sale is ideal for a demanding market and delivers in a very transparent way the best price, thanks to the competing buyers, local as remote.
o Through contract selling. (Weekly delivery of supply for an electronically negotiated fixed price.)
o Through web shop at fixed prices. (Based on the clock prices + X%)
o Afterwards, the information from all these transactions is available on the website of the GFC organization for buyers, farmers and other stakeholders. After being logged in, the client can view his specific data, transactions, catalogues, statistics, general information…
o After the sale, the various depots TMC SPs get the necessary tasks and insights about who is going to load what.
o The back office software makes the necessary finalization of the transactions, follow-up of invoices, payments, statistical reports etc. possible.
The Auction Clock procedure:
The clock always rotates in an anti-clockwise direction from the higher starting value to a lower value. Sale is carried out at a declining price (Dutch auction). There is also the possibility for the supplier to option the price rotation in an ascending method, from low to high.
Bidding: the buyer who first clicks the button completes the transaction. At the same time, the unit price that has been clicked and the buyer’s number are automatically displayed. The buyer communicates via an audio link and can tell the auctioneer how many boxes/pallets he wants to buy through the communication system or by confirming manually from his computer desk. The number of boxes purchased is deducted from the total bid, and another transaction starts.
Afterwards, the information from all these transactions is available on the website of the GFC organization for buyers, farmers etc. After being logged in, the client can view his specific data (transactions, catalogues, statistics, and general information). After the sale, the various depots get the necessary tasks and insights about who is going to load what. The back office software makes the necessary finalization of the transactions, follow-up of invoices, payments, statistical reports.
